Madikeri is a hill town in Southern India, framed by the Western Ghats mountain range. It is known for the Raja's Seat, a serene monument overlooking forests and rice paddies. In the centre, the 17th-century Madikeri Fort features 2 stone elephants at the entrance. Nearby, the domed Omkareshwar Temple is dedicated to the Hindu deity group. To the northwest, cascading Abbey Falls is surrounded by spice plantations. The Misty Hills, Lush Teak Wood and Sandalwood Forests, and home of Tea and Coffee Plantations of Kodagu are, in a word, stunning. Also known as Coorg (the Scotland of India), Kodagu is a pastoral-perfect region of scattered villages and hamlets. These are a haven for outdoor activities such as trekking, angling, and white-water rafting. The major festivals like Kari Podu (worship of weapons), Cauvery Shankaramana (return of the river goddess) and the Huttari (harvest) festivals are all huge draws.

I recently booked a bus from Mangalore Travels Corporation for a group trip of 16 people during our visit, and I must say the entire experience turned out to be much better than expected. When you’re coordinating travel for a large group, there’s always a bit of concern about comfort, timing, and overall service—but everything was handled very smoothly. The bus provided was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, which made a big difference for all of us, especially since we were traveling together for multiple stops. The seating was comfortable, and the journey felt relaxed rather than tiring. A special mention goes to the driver, who truly made the experience even better. He was extremely professional, punctual, and polite from the very beginning. He arrived on time near our hotel every single time, which really helped us stay on schedule without any stress. What stood out the most was his helpful and accommodating nature—he took us wherever we requested without any hesitation and was always approachable whenever we needed anything. It felt less like a formal service and more like traveling with someone who genuinely wanted us to have a good experience. He also drove very safely and responsibly, which gave all of us peace of mind throughout the trip. For a group journey, that level of reliability is really important. Overall, the service was seamless, dependable, and very well-organized. I’m really glad we chose Mangalore Travels Corporation, and I would highly recommend them to anyone planning group travel. I would definitely consider booking with them again in the future.
